Diversification in agricultural production systems – from management challenges to socio-ecological benefits

Diversification in agricultural production systems – from management challenges to socio-ecological benefits

Conveners: Manuel Seeger and Felix Dittrich

Agricultural production is essential for maintaining society, as it provides food all and generates income for the farmers. Therefore, sustainability of agricultural systems is important at different levels, as they need to preserve the natural resources, the potential agricultural productivity and the economic viability. Diversified farming systems, combined with low input practices, have the potential to cope with this challenge. We invite scientist and practitioners to present their ideas and to generate a constructive discussion.
